The Orchid prep school is located in the lap of Nature, in the posh and safe area of Shimla. The school has 40 children in the age group of 2.5 to 5 years.We have a campus which has six class rooms, a play room, a computer room, a library and an audio video room.

The orchid prep school gets its name from the orchid flower. Orchids were the first flowering plants to evolve around 120 million years ago, when the mighty dinosaurs roamed the earth. The dinosaurs became extinct; so did many species of plants and animals. But the orchid family survived, adapted and expanded. The Orchid has survived the different stages of evolution by adapting to the climate, waiting for the right time and opportunities to bloom.
Our school recognized the fact that all children have potential, like orchids. They are waiting to be unfolded and discovered.

The NutSpace Phonics Stories Programme
Reading is one of the most important skills for the 21st century. According to the 10th Annual Status of Education Report (ASER 2014), the situation with basic reading continues to be extremely disheartening in India. The report states that only a fourth of all children studying in class 3 can read a class 2 text fluently. Even in class 5 only 50% of the students are able to read class 2 text. One of the reasons for such a gap in fluency is lack of skilled teachers to teach children the right phonetics.
The Orchid Prep School is delighted to bring you the NutSpace Phonics Stories Programme to help build reading skills in your child. This unique programme uses stories to teach phonics.
The NutSpace Phonics Stories Programme has been designed by Early Years Education experts, storytellers and a listed Jolly Phonics UK trainer. Our teachers have been trained by experts to help this wonderful programme reach your child and help raise the reading standards of your child and help them become active readers and spellers.
The resources provided by NutSpace will help enhance a child’s ability to spell, read, and comprehend with enriched vocabulary.
