Our Vision and Values: is to offer young children a high quality introduction to a successful life of learning. Our aim is to set high standards and expectations to help all members of the school community to achieve the best in everything they do and to work towards reaching their full potential.
To fulfill this we will:

• Provide a broad, balanced and challenging curriculum to enable all pupils to work to the best of their ability

• Maintain a safe, open and friendly environment within which pupils are encouraged to develop a love of learning and to become confident, independent and lifelong learners

• Celebrate and value the diversity of our pupils’ cultural, religious and language background

• Provide equal opportunities for all our children and encourage them to be proud of their own culture, religion and language and to show respect for those of others

• Work together in a positive partnership with parents and governors and to contribute to the quality and development of our local community.

• Everyone in our school shares an objective to help keep children safe by:
• Providing a safe environment for children to learn in.
• Supporting children’s development in ways which will foster a sense of self-esteem and independence.
• Identifying and responding to children in need of support and/or protection

SCHOOL COMMITMENT

Orchid Prep School is committed to promoting an environment where children can learn in a safe, caring, stimulating and positive school and where their social physical and moral development is our highest priority. All pupils will know they are valued and their concerns will be taken seriously and addressed by the adults who care for them. We want all children to feel safe and know what to do if they ever have concerns about any aspect of their physical or emotional safety.

In promoting the health and well-being of pupils we aim to help children to become confident, responsible, trustworthy and resilient. In our school, we respect our children. The atmosphere within our school is one that encourages all children to do their best. We provide opportunities that enable our children to take and make decisions for themselves. We will promote the emotional intelligence of our pupils so that they are aware of their own emotions and the effect their actions has on others.
